Official Handover of the Completed Construction Project of Nine (9) New Schools by CAHPO in Kandahar Province

The CAHPO Organization, in close cooperation with UNICEF and with the generous financial support of the friendly country of Japan, has successfully completed the construction project of nine new schools in the center of Kandahar Province and six of its districts. The project was implemented with full transparency, high quality, and in compliance with the best technical standards. This project was implemented with the objective of providing children with access to safe, quality, and sustainable education and creating a healthy learning environment, in close coordination with relevant government institutions, local authorities, and implementing partners. Under this project, each school was equipped with a standard classroom building, five sanitary latrines in accordance with hygiene principles, a perimeter wall, designated facilities for drinking water and handwashing, a deep well to ensure access to clean water, as well as a solar power system. These facilities enable students and teachers to carry out educational activities in a safe, healthy, and suitable environment. With the completion of this project and its official handover for use, thousands of children in Kandahar are now continuing their education in a secure, healthy, and child-friendly learning environment with greater commitment, confidence, and motivation. This achievement represents a significant and effective step toward strengthening the education system, shaping a brighter future for children, and promoting sustainable community development. CAHPO reaffirms its strong commitment to sustainable development, the protection of children’s rights, and the strengthening of education services. The organization will continue to strive to create positive change by delivering standard, sustainable infrastructure services in remote and underserved areas of the country. CAHPO remains committed to transparency, accountability, community-based approaches, gender equality, and the implementation of projects in line with national and international standards, and will continue working closely with partners, donors, and local and international communities in the fields of education, health, and humanitarian assistance to help building a brighter and more hopeful future for generations to come.
